sakkad — Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 6, 2026

Summary

Sakkad collects no personal data whatsoever. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads. Everything you read stays on your device.

What's stored on your device

The texts you import, the folders you create, your reading progress, and your app settings are kept only in your device's local storage. This data is never transmitted to us or to third parties, and is never backed up to any server.

Internet access

Sakkad works fully offline. There are two optional exceptions: when you use the “Import from the web” feature, the web address you enter is sent to the Jina AI content service (r.jina.ai) so the page can be converted into readable text. And when you use the contact form, the message you write (and your email address, if you choose to include it) is sent via Google Forms to reach the developer.

Both of these happen only at the moment you initiate them. Separately, the app communicates with the Apple App Store to handle the optional one-time purchase that unlocks Sakkad after the trial and to restore or verify that unlock; this is handled by Apple and shares no personal data. Apart from these cases, the app makes no network requests at all.

Third-party services

The app contains no third-party software (SDKs) for analytics, advertising, or tracking.

Deleting your data

You can delete texts from your library one by one, whenever you like. When you remove the app from your device, all data is permanently deleted.

Children's privacy

Since Sakkad collects no personal data, no data belonging to children is processed either.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published with a new release of the app and will be available on this page.
